4.3-inch WVGA and WQVGA displays save power
Anders Electronics has introduced a new 4.3-inch TFT LCD with WVGA resolution and two 4.3-inch displays with WQVGA resolution. All modules have a wide operating temperature range, delivering enhanced multimedia performance for mobile professional convergence devices. Applications include GPS receivers, security equipment, ultra-portable PCs and data acquisition systems.
The The new display is also one of the first to use TPO’s TMR (Transmissive Micro-Reflective) technology, which naturally enhances daylight readability without increasing power consumption or compromising indoor performance. TMR technology, combined with the superior brightness of LTPS, enables sharp and vivid optical performance under all conditions through the 4-wire resistive touch sensor fitted to each unit as standard. The display is also robust to storage over a particularly wide temperature range, from -40°C to +85°C.
In addition to the 4.3-inch WVGA TFT module, Anders has also added two transmissive TFT displays in the 4.3-inch WQVGA format, providing the option of a standard display or a touch sensitive version fitted with a 4-wire resistive touch sensor. An efficient LED backlight producing 390cd/m² surface luminance from just 550mW of power adds value by increasing freedom for designers to manage a tight energy budget and maximise battery lifetime. The new displays have 24-bit parallel digital interfaces, supporting true 16.7 million colours operation.
All of the new displays introduced are specified for operation over the extended temperature range -20°C to +70°C, allowing use in demanding professional applications from factory-floor equipment to field-based roles.
