RFM Announces Four Channel Wireless Sensor Nodes With Data Logging
RF Monolithics introduce the next generation of their wireless sensor networking platform products -- the SN-4 series battery powered wireless sensor nodes. The SN-4 provides 4 channels of sensor inputs and transmits the data back to access points, Ethernet, or Cellular gateways. The SN-4 series allows any combination of up to 4 sensors to be read by a single unit as well as supporting 4 of a single sensor type.
Sens“While our original SN series of sensor nodes have demonstrated both the reliability and affordability of battery-powered wireless sensing, our SN-4 family takes affordability and network simplicity to the next level by consolidating up to 4 sensors into each wireless node,” stated Tim Cutler, director of business development for RFM’s M2M business. “The inclusion of data logging memory alleviates any concerns over losing sensor data due to network unavailability” Cutler added.
RFM’s SN-4 family of sensor nodes, support the same wireless technologies as the original family: Wi-Fi, 900MHz and 2.4GHz Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum, IEEE802.15.4, ZigBee, and WirelessHART. The SN-4 sensor nodes are compatible with the existing LG-E and LG-C family of Ethernet and Cellular gateways.
