Share the power between your mobile devices
Enabling consumers to wirelessly charge a mobile device from another device, Integrated Device Technology has introduced its 'Wireless PowerShare' technology. The multi-mode, multi-function (receiver and transmitter) chip supports all major wireless power standards for magnetic resonance and magnetic induction charging, allowing you to charge wearable devices by simply placing them near an enabled smart phone.
The wireless power solution, a member of IDT’s P9700 series of semiconductors, enables a seamless transition between the three leading standards: the A4WP standard for magnetic resonance and the PMA and WPC standards for magnetic induction. The 'Wireless PowerShare' chip delivers 5-10W of output power and offers a proprietary mode that provides greater flexibility to OEMs.
“Consumers have been asking why, with all the remarkable advances in electronics, we remain tethered by power cords. Our Wireless PowerShare technology is a big leap in the right direction, allowing devices to charge one another, free from the tangle of wires,” commented Arman Naghavi, Vice President, Analog Power Technology, IDT.
