Kerlink and eleven-x has announced eleven-x has launched pilot programmes in smart parking, asset tracking, water metering, fuel tank monitoring, smart waste management and other applications across Canada on its recently deployed LoRaWANTM IoT network.

The two companies completed rollout of the network early this year. Deployed in 22 markets and powered by Kerlink WirnetTM Stations for managing millions of bi-directional messages every day from sensors and other data-collecting devices, it enables testing, development and proof-of-concept deployment of IoT solutions. The coast-to-coast network serves most major Canadian markets, allowing companies to implement mass deployments of their IoT solutions.

“Since the network’s nationwide rollout, Canadians have shown strong enthusiasm for launching a variety of applications and creating new use cases in the categories where IoT connectivity excels at improving business and municipal efficiency, safety and security,” said Dan Mathers, eleven-x CEO. “Kerlink’s stations and ongoing support of our network are facilitating the launch of these pilot programmes across the country.”

“Kerlink LoRaWANTM gateways, which are known for flexible deployment capability and reliable performance in virtually any conditions, are powering nationwide LoRaWANTM networks in many European countries, as well as in India, New Zealand, Argentina, and now in Canada,” said Carlos Briceño, Kerlink vice president Americas, Kerlink.

“Now that the network is up and operating as expected, our team will continue to provide the support for eleven-x to help its customers fully realise the benefits of low power, wide area IoT connectivity.”

Teams from Kerlink and eleven-x will be in Vancouver, British Columbia, 4th-7th June for the LoRa AllianceTM 10th All Members Meeting & Open House. Eleven-x, an Open House Networking Reception Sponsor, will open its LoRaWANTM network during the show to support applications, use cases and developers’ demos. The Open House Networking Reception will be at 5:30p.m., 7th June 2018.

In addition to its WanesyTM Management Center and WanesyTM Geolocation offer, Kerlink, a Platinum Sponsor, will also demonstrate its WanesyTM Device Management platform. The demonstration, leveraging Lightweight M2M (LwM2M) protocol over LoRaWANTM, powered by IoTerop’s IOWA stack, shows the ability to control, manage and monitor a fleet of devices using multiple protocols.

These include Kerlink’s LoRaWAN 'WAL-e' demo end-device, based on its Low Power IoT Reference Design offer, and an off-the-shelf Philips HUE colour light.

Briceño will deliver the Platinum Sponsor Keynote at 11:30a.m. on 7th June 2018, titled 'Carrier-grade connectivity for smart businesses'. Mathers will moderate 'Smart City Panel' at 4:00p.m. on 6th June 2018, and eleven-x will co-host 'LoRaWANTM Hands-On Workshop' at 1:30p.m., 7th June 2018.
