New portfolio of ultra low power Wi-Fi, Energy Harvesting and Ethernet connectivity modules make their debut at NEW 2012
Showcasing for the very first time on the Alpha Micro (stand 19a) located in the new Wireless zone at NEW 2012, will be a wide range of ultra low power Wi-Fi modules from GainSpan, 2G and 3G small form factor modems from u-blox, energy harvesting devices from EnOcean and the new xPico chip-sized networking module for Ethernet connectivity from Lantronix.
A reAlongside the GainSpan product portfolio, Alpha Micro will be exhibiting the LEON-G100/G200 modules from u-blox, a cost efficient solution bringing full feature quad-band GSM/GPRS data and voice transmission technology in a compact form factor. Featuring low power consumption and GSM/GPRS class 10 data transmission with voice capability, the LEON-G100/G200 combine baseband, RF transceiver, power management unit, and power amplifier in a single, easy-to-integrate surface mount solution.
Also featured will be the LISA-U2 3.5G modules from u-blox ideal for consumer and industrial applications requiring high-speed data transmission rates, and machine-to machine applications. They are the perfect choice for mobile Internet terminals, PC tablets, in-car infotainment, connected navigation systems, security and surveillance systems, eCall, fleet management, metering, anti-theft systems and other automotive applications.
Completing the portfolio is the chip-sized xPico from Lantronix, designed for quick integration with minimal engineering effort. Boasting a chip-sized footprint of 24mm x 16.5mm, the xPico is a compact and complete networking solution that enables Ethernet connectivity on virtually any device with a serial interface. With its embedded device server application, Web server, and full IP stack, xPico allows seamless remote access to device data – simplifying the design integration process and providing robust connectivity.
