New Mini Signal Generators Perform up to 20 GHz
Vaunix Technology Corporation, has introduced two new models to their Lab Brick® product line that together cover frequency ranges from 8 to 20 GHz.
The Typical spurious for the two models is at -80 dBc, with typical harmonics of -40 dBc and subharmonics at -25 dBc. They deliver at least +10 dBm output power, and can be adjusted over a 40 dB dynamic range, with 0.5 dB resolution. The pulse modulation feature offers internal or external triggering with pulse widths as low as 100 ns and pulse repetition intervals of 200 ns.
Other previously released models in the LMS family include the LMS-802 covering 4 to 8 GHz, the LMS-103 covering 5 to 10 GHz, and the LMS-123 covering 8 to 12 GHz. Lab Brick signal generators are known for their compact size, low power consumption, and Universal Serial Bus (USB) compatibility. Each Lab Brick® signal generator measures 4.90 x 3.14 x 1.59 in. (124 x 80 x 40 mm) and weighs less than 1 lb. (0.45 kg). They connect to a host computer by means of a standard USB cable and are controlled via the Graphical User Interface (GUI) software supplied with each unit. The simple GUI features large display windows to quickly view and adjust the signal generator's operating parameters. They are powered and controlled by means of any USB equipped personal computer (PC) or laptop. They can also be run from battery power or from a remote power supply for non-USB embedded or automated applications.
