High-power amplifier is designed for mobile jamming applications
Link Microtek, the specialist supplier of RF and microwave components and subsystems, has announced the availability of a new solid-state high-power amplifier module that has been designed for use in military mobile jamming systems to counter the threat of IEDs.
RF front end from Texas Instruments
Texas Instruments has introduced what it says is the industry’s highest integrated 2.4-GHz radio frequency (RF) front end for low-power and low-voltage wireless applications. The CC2591 increases the range (link budget) in wireless systems by integrating a power amplifier for increased output power of +22 dBm and a low-noise amplifier for improved receiver sensitivity of +6 dB.
UHF FM Transmitter Module from Radiometrix
The TX2S, from London-based wireless module manufacturer Radiometrix, is a miniature PCB mounting UHF radio transmitter for the 433.92MHz (UK) or 434.42MHz (European) radio bands. Contained within a compact package, measuring just 20x10x2 mm, it allows design engineers to create a simple data link (either with a node-to-node, or multi-node architecture) which is capable of supporting rates of up to 40kbits/s at distances of as much as 75m in-buil...
NEC Electronics and Skyley Networks Announce Compliance of ZigBee Platform
NEC Electronics and Skyley Networks have announced that their jointly developed ZigBee platform has been deemed as a ZigBee Compliant platform (ZCP) on the ZigBee PRO specifications by the ZigBee Alliance. The ZigBee compliant platform is based on an NEC Electronics’ 78K0R 16-bit microcontroller, a wireless RF transceiver chip by Uniband Electronic Corporation (UBEC) and the ZigBee PRO stack, which is software to manage the network. The NECEL/S...
RS232 Radio Interface Board from Radiometrix
The TDi2 from Radiometrix is a RS232 interface board which combines a TDL2A 433-9 OEM multi-channel wireless modem module (operating at a half-duplex serial data rate of 9600bits/s ), an RS232 driver, a 9 way DB9F connector, helical SMA aerial and power connectors, and a local 5V voltage regulator.
Touch Controller for Slider and Buttons from Atmel
Atmel has announced the AT42QT2160 - a touch controller IC combining touch key and touch slider functions in a single device. The AT42QT2160 can control up to 16 individual touch keys with a slider comprising between 2 and 8 of the touch key channels. In addition, the chip can also control up to 11 LEDs through a PWM output function that is controlled by the host, eliminating the need for an external LED controller.
IDT's Ultra-Low Power Timing Solutions For Ultra-Mobile PCs Extend Battery Life
IDT has announced the availability of a family of ultra-low-power timing devices designed for use in ultra-mobile PCs (UMPCs). These ultra-low-power timing devices minimally require 1.5V power supply, as opposed to the 3.3V for standard timing devices, helping extend the battery life of the UMPC.
Flexible Multi-Mode Wireless Data Modem from CML
CML Microcircuits has announced the launch of the CMX7143 with FFSK/MSK modem functionality. The CMX7143 is a flexible wireless modem product, designed to address the growing global market requirements for multi-mode wireless data connectivity, particularly sought-after by Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Software Defined Radio (SDR) product manufacturers. The product also targets Point-to-Point telemetry systems, traffic location systems and any o...
SoC with 90-nm eDRAM from NEC Electronics
NEC Electronics has announced that it starts shipment of the µPD809400 for mobile phones, music players, and other portable devices that integrates 8 megabits of embedded DRAM (eDRAM) memory with graphics processing logic and a high-speed graphics data interface. The µPD809400 is a system on chip (SoC) solution that can reduce material costs for mobile devices while enabling lower power consumption and convenient display panel configurations. F...
