The collaboration is expected to accelerate innovation and lower entry barriers for system designers by reducing development resources and inefficiencies.

Following the closure of this transaction, Altium has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Renesas. Altium CEO Aram Mirkazemi has taken on the role of Senior Vice President and Head of Renesas’ Software & Digitalisation, while continuing to serve as CEO of Altium.
