MintNeuro has launched the ‘EXPLORE’ project, supported by a £100,000 grant from Innovate UK as part of the Biomedical Catalyst Feasibility Competition 2023.

Following the achievements of the DREAM project, EXPLORE invites partners to apply MintNeuro’s neural sensing technology beyond its initial focus on Drug-Resistant Epilepsy. This initiative aspires to transform patient outcomes across various neurological conditions.

Neural implants represent a pivotal medical advancement, offering renewed hope for individuals with severe neurological disorders. By providing physicians with actionable insights and enabling closed-loop treatment modalities, integrating neural recording into existing devices marks a significant leap in neurological care. The EXPLORE project aims to leverage these benefits by extending access to MintNeuro’s specialised semiconductor technology, initially designed for epilepsy monitoring, to a wider array of conditions impacting millions worldwide.

EXPLORE will implement neural sensing chips in diverse clinical applications. Partnering with industry leaders, MintNeuro will assess the utilisation of these chips in ongoing development projects, fostering new collaborations and technological advancements.

Jonathan Casey, VP of Quality and Operations at MintNeuro and Project Manager for EXPLORE, stated: "We are expanding access to our technology to advance our partners' understanding and treatment capabilities across a broad spectrum of medical conditions,” said Jonathan Casey, VP of Quality and Operations at MintNeuro and Project Manager for EXPLORE. “EXPLORE is not just a project—it's the next step towards redefining what's possible for neural implants."

The introduction of EXPLORE invites industry partners and investors to engage with this cutting-edge technology, now poised for broader application. This project highlights MintNeuro's dedication to innovation and its strategic approach to market growth and collaboration.
