Advanced Energy power technologies at MEDICA/COMPAMED 2024
Advanced Energy will be exhibiting its latest power supply and conversion technologies for medical systems at COMPAMED 2024, the leading international trade fair for the medical technology supply sector.
During the event, which takes place alongside MEDICA 2024 in Dusseldorf from 11 to 14 November, at Booth 8a/J13 Advanced Energy will showcase recent additions to its comprehensive portfolio of power supply technologies that are optimised for the demanding requirements of medical applications.
“As one of the world’s largest medical grade power supply suppliers, Advanced Energy has a history of creating technologies that simplify and speed the design and approval process for medical equipment designers,” said Shrinidhi Chandrasekharan, Advanced Energy’s SVP, Medical Products. “The COMPAMED fair during MEDICA 2024 is an important event for showcasing our latest innovations and proprietary technologies to engineers and developers that are leading future medical equipment advances.”
Advanced Energy power supplies on display during COMPAMED 2024 include open frame, enclosed, fanless, and configurable models as well as external medical AC adapters and DC-DC modules. Among the technologies highlighted will be the NCF150 series, the world’s first off-the-shelf convection cooled power supply that meets the cardiac floating (CF) requirements of IEC 60601-1, and the AEQ Series of ultra-miniature DC-DC converters for portable and compact high-voltage equipment.
Visitors can also explore the FlexiCharge FC2500 all-in-one intelligent system for power and capacitor charging, which FC2500 simplifies the design of medical laser systems and electrosurgery applications like Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Pulsed Magnetic (PM) Therapy. In addition, the new Excelsys CoolX G modular power supplies on display offer approximately 50% more power than the industry standard and enable complete primary to secondary isolation tests at 4kVAC and 5.6Kvdc without modification.
AE specialists will also be on hand to explain how the company helps manufacturers develop optimised medical designs in the shortest possible times through rapid modification and engineering services provided by worldwide Collaborative Development Labs (CDLs) and Customer Experience Centres (CECs).
