Neousys unleashes a new generation of Edge AI inference computer
Neousys Technology announced its latest Edge AI inference computer, Nuvo-9166GC. By supporting Intel 13th/12th-Gen processor and an NVIDIA L4, the platform delivers high CPU computation prowess and AI inference capabilities.
Thanks to its flexible camera connectivity, Nuvo-9166GC is ideal for multi-camera applications requiring real-time responses, such as industrial AI inspection, robotic guidance, and advanced autonomous machines.
By supporting an Intel Core CPU up to 24 cores/ 32 threads, Nuvo-9166GC provides up to nearly twice the CPU computing performance compared to 11th/10th Gen platforms. The system also supports NVIDIA L4, a data centre grade GPU powered by NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture for energy-efficient AI acceleration applications. It offers up to 30.3 TFLOPS in FP32 or 485 TOPS in INT8 to set new benchmarks for industrial Edge AI computing.
As thermal management is vital with any Edge systems, Nuvo-9166GC has a proven design to guarantee reliable operation from -25°C to 60°C. The system features a passive-cooling design for the CPU and DDR5 memory module. It also has a segregated and patented Cassette module with an air tunnel to continuously guide cool airflow through the passive heat sink of NVIDIA L4, guaranteeing optimum performance. Camera connectivity wise, Nuvo-9166GC has six GbE, six USB3 ports, MezIO expansion, and an additional PCIe slot to support a maximum of fourteen industrial GigE cameras or eighteen industrial USB3 cameras. To help store all the data from the multiple cameras, Nuvo-9166GC comes with two 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD slots supporting RAID 0/1 configurations while an M.2 2280 Gen4x4 slot supporting an NVMe SSD offering up to 7000 MB/s extreme read/write speeds is perfect for installing an operating system.
“Our mission is to empower industries with next-gen GPU edge computers. As one of the pioneers to release a ruggedised Intel 13th/12th-Gen Core industrial computer with support for a data centre grade GPU, we continue to utilise the power of the NVIDIA GPUs to benefit intelligent manufacturing industries,” said Kaichu Wu, Product Manager at Neousys Technology.
