TietoEVRY has joined AUTOSAR partnership
TietoEVRY has joined AUTOSAR, a global development partnership of car manufacturers, Tier1 suppliers and other companies from the electronics, semiconductor and software industries. AUTOSAR aims to contribute to a standardised software architecture in the vehicle and to build the foundation for reliably controlling the growing complexity of electronic and software systems in today's and future vehicles.
With vehicles becoming software-defined, the development of these components and functions places a high demand on the E/E architecture. Together with industry peers, and through the company’s product development services, TietoEVRY is heavily involved in developing the software the automobiles of the future need, ranging from user experience and digital cockpits to safety-critical software.
Through the AUTOSAR membership, TietoEVRY is supporting the development of the AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform for the automobile industry, providing customers with reusable modules and service-oriented and flexible architecture, as well as helping share and promote standards for the automotive software.
TietoEVRY will collaborate with AUTOSAR in the development of high-performance and flexible platforms, reusable software modules and solutions. By doing so, they will promote and facilitate the adoption of AUTOSAR standards and technology globally.
“We're very excited and honoured to join the AUTOSAR partnership as a Premium Partner. This step empowers us to be at the core of automotive software and standards development. We are working closely with the industry, our peers and our customers in the development of standardised automotive software and meeting the need for a future-proof vehicle architecture,” said Viet-Anh Pitaval, Head of Automotive Business Development at TietoEVRY. “We are helping our customers in Europe, Japan, China and South Korea to build powerful and flexible control units to accommodate the necessary functions for automated driving and electric vehicles.”
“Being able to work with the community to build the specifications for the next-gen automotive electrical/electronic end-to-end architectures, brings great value to our customers and our own capability development,” added Adam Konopa, Head of Automotive Technology at TietoEVRY.
“AUTOSAR welcomes TietoEVRY as a Premium Partner,” said Bernd Frielingsdorf, Ford, member of the AUTOSAR Project Leader team. “Based on their hands-on experience working with both the Classic and Adaptive platform, TietoEVRY is joining the Central Coding Team to actively contribute to the development of Adaptive Platform Demonstrator.”
