A primary switched DC/DC converters series, specifically designed for automotive and railway applications, has been introduced by MTM Power. The PMDS/PCMDS30 series operate according to the current source push-pull principle and working with a frequency of 70/140 kHz.

The latest addition to the company’s advanced Hall effect switch/latch IC offering, Melexis Technologies has announced the MLX92242. The highly integrated device combines a voltage regulator (supporting a wide operating voltage range), Hall sensing element and a current sink-configured output driver all in a single compact, low-profile package.

Expanding the company's VMx precision resistor family with gold-plated contacts, Isabellenhütte has introduced the VMx-A series. These gold-plated low-ohmic resistors are suitable for mounting with conductive adhesive on high-temperature circuit boards, as well as for component mounting by means of reflow and IR soldering.

Providing a convenient drop-in replacement for competing solutions, the Milwaukee EDGU universal edgewound power resistor has been launched by Vishay Intertechnology. The universal-mounted EDGU combines a high-reliability design with continuous duty operation up to 85A and a short-time overload of 10x rated power for five seconds.
