Approved to EN50155 for railway applications, the TEP150WI series of high performance DC/DC converters have been introduced by Powersolve. The converters provide up to 150W from a 4:1 input voltage range up to 160VDC and feature high immunity against surge, burst, radiated and conducted disturbances as well as high resistance to shock and vibration.
Compact rectifiers improve automotive efficiency
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced six rectifiers in the compact, low-profile, surface-mount SMF (DO-219AB) eSMP package. Offering forward currents of 1 and 2A as well as low forward voltage drops and leakage currents, the AEC-Q101-qualified devices reduce power losses and improve efficiency in automotive applications.

Rated for up to 10V, the high performance automotive grade polymer tantalum series is available in capacitances of up to 220μF.

Automotive grade film capacitors, specifically designed for safety applications used in harsh environments, have been introduced by KEMET at electronica 2014 in Munich. The F862 Metallized Polypropylene Film Class X2 capacitors are available in capacitances up to 4.7μF and rated voltages up to 310VAC.
