Lynx to sponsor and present at Global Defence Helicopter
Lynx Software Technologies (Lynx), the specialist in delivering solutions for the Mission Critical Edge, has announced that its CTO, Will Keegan, will be presenting on the benefits of open systems architectures at Global Defence Helicopter in Warsaw, 18 – 20 October 2022.
Lynx is the official software partner for the event, which is Europe’s largest dedicated military helicopter event.
Will Keegan will be presenting within the stream on using operational lessons to enable open systems architecture. He will share his thoughts on ‘Confessions of a platform vendor: we can save so much money with better architecture.’
He will cover advances in hardware and software modularity such as virtualisation and containerisation to improve component reuse and extend the lifetime of component interoperability. Keegan will conclude tying the benefits of next gen RTOS/Hypervisor platform composition to enable accurate integration of model-based system engineering and safety and security evaluation processes.
Will Keegan is the inspiration behind LYNX MOSA.ic for Avionics, a development and integration platform embodying the DoD Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA). LYNX MOSA.ic is founded on LynxSecure, a lightweight hypervisor and separation kernel developed according to DO-178C DAL A standards supporting ARINC 653 architecture requirements. LYNX MOSA.ic is specifically designed for open flexibility, enabling real-time developers to efficiently realise their design goals on inherently complex hardware/software platforms.
