Hanwha Phasor expands into United States
Hanwha Phasor, a satellite communications company based in the UK, has announced the opening of its inaugural office in the United States, marking a successful four-year presence in the UK.
The company's primary focus will be on expanding its market presence in the US, which offers broader potential for its range of user terminals.
Situated in Virginia, the new office will serve as the main hub for Hanwha Phasor's US-based employees, including Vice President of Business Development Mike Young, recently appointed Business Development Director Rick LePage, and the new Commercial Director of Aviation, Scott McCobb.
In addition to the US office, Hanwha Phasor maintains two locations in the UK: its international headquarters in London and the ASICs Centre of Excellence in Cambridge.
Recent contract signings with Lufthansa Technik and OneWeb underscore the strong interest in Hanwha Phasor's satellite communication products. The unveiling of its land user terminal, the Phasor L3300B, at Satellite 2024 in Washington DC, garnered significant attention for its electronically steered antenna, which holds great potential for military and emergency services applications. The A7700 user terminal, designed for aviation use, is scheduled for release in mid-2025 and is poised to transform satellite-based communications and connectivity for aircraft.
“This is an exciting time for Hanwha Phasor. We have achieved a huge amount in recent years and I am proud of the hard work our employees have put into developing such a transformative line of products. The move to the US is the logical next step as we seek to grow the business, access wider markets, and build on our success in the UK and Europe," concluded Mike Young.
