Mouser hosts online workshop with CRL
Mouser Electronics will be co-hosting a three-day online event to help UK-based startups test, validate and communicate their technical requirements to manufacturers. Hosted in partnership with the Central Research Laboratory (CRL), the workshop takes place over three half-day sessions, Tuesday 8th – Thursday 10th February.
This interactive and personalised workshop is ideal for early-stage hardware startups taking their first product to manufacture as well as scaling product companies developing their first in-house design. Mouser and CRL have invited expert partners from Analog Devices, Texas Instruments, Nordic Semiconductor, DIGI International, Publitek, NCAB PCB, Jaltek and Techworks/NMI to add valuable knowledge and insight about electronics design and manufacturing.
Attendees will be guided through the process of preparing for production, finding suppliers, communicating their requirements, and formalising the relationship to ensure that commercial targets, timelines, and customer expectations are met.
This is the latest event in the ongoing collaboration between Mouser and CRL to accelerate and improve product development among start-ups in the United Kingdom. As part of Mouser’s and CRL’s mission to empower innovation among design entrepreneurs, the programme is structured to help make the manufacturing journey easier for UK start-ups and other innovative hardware companies which are on the verge of rapid growth.
“Getting a product successfully to manufacture is a complex process, but anticipating the steps involved can save time, cost, and accelerate time to market”, says Mark Patrick, Technical Marketing Manager, EMEA for Mouser Electronics. “Building on the success of our last event, contributors will share their insight and experience of helping customers get their products into production, the unexpected challenges they may face, and how to overcome them. This year, we are including additional perspectives from the world of PCB manufacture, working with PR and marketing agencies, as well as support from industry bodies”.
