Avalue Technology has recently launched the IEC 60945 marine certified ship specific embedded computer platform EMS-TGL-Marine with Avalue's EPM-1722 marine-grade power board which provides a stable and uninterrupted power supply and enhances the overall stability of the system.

Taking the harsh marine environment into account, Avalue builds the EMS-TGL-Marine with advanced manufacturing processes and industrial-grade materials, combines IoT with ship navigation, and monitors the integrated ship automation systems. The EMS-TGL-Marine is applicable for piers, autonomous ships, ship control rooms or engine rooms, and enhances the intelligence of marine transportation.

The EMS-TGL-Marine control system adopts Intel Tiger Lake high-performance processor with built-in high-end image processing performance and computing power, which is the perfect configuration for electronic nautical chart display and information system, voyage data recording and machinery monitoring. The EMS-TGL-Marine integrated system meets the needs of multi-task environment and can be used as a gateway for the cross-system coordination between ports, bridges and ships, and it supports 5G/WiFi 6E wireless communication for high-speed and low-latency mass data transmission, and adopts a 9-36V wide-voltage design to support wide-temperature operation ranging from -40°C to 60°C. Meanwhile, the anti-vibration and anti-shock design ensures that the system will not be interfered by the vibration generated by the ships that is moving at high speed.

Avalue's EMS-TGL-Marine marine-certified ship-specific embedded computer platform and EPM-1722 power brick are both certified with marine IEC 60945, and the EPM-1722 provides marine-grade, rigorous and professional power protection solutions, such as wide-voltage and DC input isolation, that protect the system from voltage surges and drops. The EMS-TGL-Marine also meets the International Association of Classification Societies testing standards, such as IACS, Norwegian Marine Certification DNV‧GL for temperature, humidity, EMC, vibration, IP, and other five major marine certification indicators, confirming the operational reliability of the EMS-TGL-Marine system in ship operations. The EMS-TGL-Marine, as the interface of multiple devices and the hub of line control centres, is highly scalable in terms of data retrieval, with diversified rich I/O interfaces: 6 COM ports, 6 USBs, 2 LANs, GPIO, and HDMI and DP dual-display design, and the expansion includes the M.2 key B/E slot, and the storage includes the M.2 key B/M slot, which allows a quick connection of multiple devices for fast deployment and create a highly efficient interconnected intelligent marine platform.
