Belden has announced the latest industrial Ethernet switch from Hirschmann – the GREYHOUND 1040. This full Gigabit Ethernet switch delivers on the high-bandwidth and data speed needs of industrial networks and offers a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet (GE) fiber port option – a first for the industry.

Belden has launched a new line of unmanaged switches – the SPIDER III family. The SPIDER III switches utilise Hirschmann’s latest technology, and depending on the specific needs of industrial networks, customers can select from the Standard or Premium Lines. Both lines deliver reliable communication in harsh environments.

Belden has made significant advancements in bringing standardised real-time communication to industrial applications through Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN). In addition to significant contributions to the IEEE 802.1 TSN standardisation process by engineers from its Hirschmann brand, Belden continues to make TSN a reality by integrating emerging standards into its industrial networking equipment.

Belden is to highlight a number of solutions for challenging applications at the Hanover Fair 2016. Visitors to the Belden booth will also be able to learn more about the company’s latest innovative products from its Belden, Hirschmann, Lumberg Automation, GarrettCom, Tofino Security and Tripwire branded ranges.

Belden introduces its latest addition to the OCTOPUS family from Hirschmann – the OCTOPUS OS24/34 switch. With  Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) functionalities, system engineers no longer need additional cabling to supply power to end devices, and can connect devices directly to the switch.

Belden has debuted its latest solution for deploying industrial wireless networks – the BAT450-F Industrial WLAN Access Point family. The devices can be mounted anywhere, such as on masts or on walls, making it suitable for environments where space is a premium.

Belden has introduced an online platform to provide education and information about the requirements of the EU’s Construction Products Regulation (CPR), which comes into force on 1st July 2016. From that date, construction products – including cabling for fixed installations – can only be used in European buildings or civil engineering works if they are tested and certified according to the new CPR rules.

Belden has demonstrated how a customised Hirschmann OpenBAT wireless solution enables the remote communication capability for TRUMPF. In order to guarantee the highest reliability to its industrial customer base, TRUMPF selected a tailor-made industrial Wireless LAN solution from Belden. Hirschmann OpenBAT-R provides highly available mobile wireless access for the flexible, cost-effective operation and service of their machines.

Belden has announced that it has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with AbuDhabi Police (ADP). Under the terms of the agreement, which was signed by Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, Belden is to supply network equipment services for ADP and explore new opportunities for possible service partnerships.

Belden has added new functionality to version 3.0 of its Hirschmann Security Operating System (HiSecOS) for the EAGLE20/30 firewalls, providing a single, secure network solution. HiSecOS 3.0 now offers enhanced security features for customers using the EAGLE20/30 firewalls, including Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and Firewall Learning Mode.

Belden has announced that its Hirschmann Automation and Control business has signed a formal partnership agreement with Secomea A/S. The two companies have agreed to work together to develop new, easy to use Secure Remote Access Solutions – which will enable users to remotely access their sites for programming, diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Belden is now offering a complete cabling solution for harsh offshore and shipboard environments. The MarineTuff Offshore and Marine Cables family includes industrial Ethernet, fiber optics, control, instrumentation, variable frequency drive (VFD), databus, and electronic and audio cables, all specifically engineered and certified for oil and gas applications.

  Belden introduces the M8 5-pole B-coded cordsets. With an extended power range and snap and snap/thread attachments, the cordsets ensure high performance reliability and make installation in the field easy, even when available space is limited.

  Belden has released its latest offering from the Lumberg Automation family of M12 connectors: the M12 power connector is compact, efficient and offers the ability to transmit at high power levels for long periods of time.

Belden has introduced a Cat6A U/UTP cable for enterprise applications requiring high-density and high-bandwidth connections of 10Gb/s at a cost competitive price. The 10GB24 Category 6A U/UTP cables are suited for small and large-scale building applications and devices, including data, voice, surveillance and wireless access points.

Belden has announced a solution from Hirschmann that combines routing with optimal security, the Industrial Cellular Router OWL 3G. This single box solution provides secure and reliable remote access in an increasingly connected world. Network problems can be solved quickly and support costs can be drastically reduced with the OWL 3G’s remote access capabilities.

Belden introduces the LioN-Power Active I/O modules. The multiprotocol solution meets both EtherNet/IP and PROFINET specifications for the IIoT and detects both input and output data directly in the machine. This provides an excellent all-in-one solution for robotics, machine handling, manufacturing, food and beverage, packaging and automotive applications.

Belden is now offering the SPIDER III Standard Line, unmanaged entry-level industrial Ethernet rail switches capable of bridging long distances without disruptions. The latest from the SPIDER line of switches utilises proven Hirschmann technology to offer a high quality, cost-effective way to transfer large amounts of data. The switch has up to eight Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet ports and two of the ports can be fiber optic.
