Vibration measurement and analysis of extremely small and lightweight systems that would be impossible with traditional accelerometer based techniques can be handled by the non-contact Laser Doppler Vibrometers at ASDEC (Advanced Structural Dynamics Evaluation Centre), as demonstrated in a recent piece of work with the Space Research Centre at the University of Leicester.
