MMW waveguide attenuators are continuously variable
Operating up to 110GHz, Pasternack has introduced a family of in-stock continuously variable MMW (MilliMeter Wave) waveguide attenuators. The attenuators are designed for use in the aerospace, defence, industrial, telecomms, instrumentation and medical industries for applications such as high efficiency RF/microwave transmissions, test benches, SATCOM, MILCOM and radar testing.
The waveguide attenuators are offered in five models covering a broad frequency range of 33 to 110GHz in five bands. Engineers often use this type variable attenuator when they are designing a system and are testing their design concepts in the lab. These ultra-high frequency variable waveguide attenuators allow the designer to see how the system will perform at various signal strengths and can also be used to determine the optimum signal performance of the system.
Pasternack’s continuously variable waveguide attenuators can vary the attenuation level from 0 to 30dB over the specified band, allowing the user to dial in the attenuation level needed for the application. The attenuation level can be adjusted using a micrometer, enabling repeatable and rapid re-setting to different attenuation levels. These attenuators also boast flat performance across a wide band low insertion loss.
Mark Blackwood, Product Manager, Passive Components, Pasternack, commented: “With addition of these new in-stock continuously variable waveguide attenuators, Pasternack continues its strategic objective of providing customers around the globe access to hard-to-find RF, microwave and MMW components available for same-day shipping. With lead times that commonly exceed 8-12 weeks in this industry, Pasternack now offers a comprehensive portfolio of innovative waveguide components from stock.”
The continuously variable waveguide attenuators from Pasternack are in-stock and ready to ship.
