LNAs offer typical low noise levels of 2.5-3dB

A series of ultra-broadband and millimeter wave LNAs, which offer typical low noise figure levels of 2.5-3dB across the entire band, have been introduced by Pasternack. Suitable applications include electronic warfare, instrumentation, fibre optic communication systems, military communications, radar, SATCOM, point-to-point radio links, telecomms and R&D.

The series consists of 17 models covering multi-octave bandwidths with flat gain response. Alongside GaAs PHEMT semiconductor technology, the devices feature 50Ω hybrid MIC circuits, which are enclosed in environmentally sealed metal packages with nickel or gold plating. For use in harsh environments, the LNAs are offered with either stainless steel SMA connectors or 2.92mm connectors, which operate to 40GHz. Selected models are hermetically sealed with field replaceable connectors. 

The ultra-broadband and millimeter wave LNAs, which are unconditionally stable, feature IP3 levels as high as +42dBm and low VSWR. DC voltage supply ranges from +12 to +15VDC while bias current ranges from 80 to 1300mA. The voltage supply is internally regulated. Operating across a temperature range of -20 to +70°C, the devices feature internal circuits, including DC blocking capacitors at the RF input/output ports.
