High-Frequency Inductors for matching-circuit applications
TAIYO YUDEN has announced the availability of its AQ105 series of high-frequency inductors for matching-circuit applications in cell phones, notebook PCs and other wireless-enabled computer and communications devices. AQ105 series inductors employ a proprietary simulation technique that optimally characterizes the device’s structural attributes to produce a typical Q value improvement of 100% or higher, compared to the company’s earlier, industry-leading HK series inductors. At a measuring frequency of 0.8GHz, for example, the AQ105-2N2 device achieves a typical Q value of 67 versus 31 for the HK1005-2N2 series device with similar physical and electrical characteristics. At 1.8GHz, the same AQ series part provides a Q value of 101.
ThisIn response to this challenge, TAIYO YUDEN became an early market leader in matching-circuit applications with its HK series of compact, high-frequency inductors combining high performance with easy mountability. However to take inductor performance to the next level, TAIYO YUDEN employed its industry-leading material science expertise to develop a special “structural characteristic simulation” that resulted in the AQ105 series of high-frequency inductors that improved typical Q factor by 100% or more compared to previous HK series devices with similar physical and electrical characteristics.
