Specialist PETERMANN-TECHNIK offers the world’s smallest mini SMD quartz crystal with 13.560 MHz for RFID applications in a 2.5 x 2.0 mm ceramic housing. Quartz crystal manufacturers normally produce 2.5 x 2.0 mm mini SMD crystals from 16 MHz upwards, as normal manufacturers can only produce customary standard designs. In maintaining its position internationally as a time and frequency specialist, PETERMANN-TECHNIK offers the SMD02502/4 series, whose housing of 2.5 x 2.0 mm makes it the world’s smallest available SMD quartz crystal from 13.560 MHz upwards.

13.560 MHz is among other things a standard frequency for RFID. The mini SMD quartz crystals are produced in absolutely sterile conditions and have a ceramic body with a welded Kovar cover, which enables frequency tolerances at +-8 ppm and above to be used with aging at +-1 ppm per year. The crystal is available in temperature ranges of -40/+85°. The unusually low basic sound frequency offers enormous freedom in particular to designers of mobile applications. The crystals, which are fitted with a very small quartz blank, are naturally highly shock- and vibration-resistant. Basic sound frequencies up to 60 MHz are available to developers. PETERMANN-TECHNIK’s specialist service catalogue also includes application analyses, circuit analyses, circuit development, circuit simulations and design-in support as technical added value. With its highly qualified range of services, PETERMANN-TECHNIK aims to contribute to its customers’ success.
