'World's smallest' storage choke on show at PCIM 2015
At PCIM Europe 2015, which takes place from 19th to 21st May in Nuremburg, Germany, Würth Elektronik will exhibit its passive components in hall 7, booth 219.
The WE-MAPI storage choke, claimed to be the smallest in the world, will be on display at the show. Measuring 1.6x1.6x1.0mm, the choke features high saturation currents and low resistance. A USB 2.0 type A jack, which is claimed to be the industry’s first with a fully integrated EMC filter and ESD protection, will also be introduced by the company. The WE-EPLE is pin-compatible with most existing THT USB 2.0 jacks and provides a shortcut for EMC testing.
Alongside its expanded range of capacitors, Würth Elektronik will also present the WE-XHMI and the WE-FAMI high-current inductors. The WE-XHMI, a molded high-current inductor with a flat-wire contact, features 50% less DC resistance than previous storage chokes. The WE-FAMI, which is a THT high-current inductor made of combined core materials, features 60% more saturation current than comparable series.
Ahead of the release of the Infineon XMC Digital Power Explorer Kit, Würth Elektronik will hold two product demonstrations daily. From 10:30am and 1:30pm, detailed product information will be available at the company’s booth.
