Unlocking market opportunity with laser technology
It has been announced that LASER World of PHOTONICS INDIA is returning to Bengaluru this year from 26th to 29th September at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, where participants will benefit from more technologies on display, as well as experience learning and networking programs.
India has a five percent share of the more than $12bn global laser market, according to India Photonics Market report published by EAC Consulting. With a compound annual growth rate of 11.6%, the global laser market is expected to cross $21bn in the next five years, and India will be a considerable contributor to this growth. After 2012, the Indian laser cutting market grew tenfold, from 50 units per year to 500 units per year.
Lasers are employed across the manufacturing industry in India as tools which are capable of delivering intense cutting or welding power with high precision. Their ability to manipulate and transform materials makes them ideal for the manufacturing, automobile, and many other industries. In fact, increasingly most modern industrial setups are adopting laser technologies across India.
Affordable machines, prioritising laser efficiency, need to replace second hand laser machines and scope to use lasers for other applications such as welding, hardening, and cladding. They are some of the key reasons why the Indian market is warming up to the laser technologies more than ever before.
LASER World of PHOTONICS INDIA 2018 is expecting over 160 exhibitors who showcase various low-to-high-power fibre lasers, cutting-edge laser and optical technologies as well as components and complete laser systems.
About 8,000 trade visitors will attend the trade fair which also features Additive Manufacturing Pavilion and Summit, Machine Vision Pavilion and the fourth Buyer Seller Forum, where top buyers looking for specific technologies or solutions network with exhibitors face to face. More than 350 face to face meetings are expected to be conducted between the buyers and sellers during the upcoming show.
Bhupinder Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Messe Muenchen India stated: “Bringing tomorrow’s technology today is our motto. And that’s what we are achieving through our trade fair LASER World of PHOTONICS INDIA. The Indian market is open to new opportunities, and laser technologies are increasingly making their mark.”
Leading companies such as Advanced Photonics, Coherent Laser India, Forbes & Company, Kirti Lasers, Meera Laser Solutions, Sahajanand Laser Technology Limited (SLTL), Scantech Laser, Suresh Indu Lasers, TRUMPF India and many others have already confirmed their presence at the trade fair.
