TTI supports Sensata's IWPT at SPS
TTI, a distributor of electronic components, will support Sensata Technologies’ industrial wireless pressure transmitter (IWPT) at this year’s SPS in Hall 4A, Stand 201.
The IWPT is an essential part of a wireless system that aids in the 24/7 monitoring of factory assets. It provides a cost-effective alternative to a traditionally wired pressure transducer and offers the advantages of a low-cost installation in inaccessible and expensive installation environments.
Sensata’s proprietary wireless communications protocol operates in the 2.4GHz ISM band, enabling the IWPT to provide clear, reliable data transmission even with line-of-sight obstructions.
Its small size fits in the palm of your hand and easily mounts to a wall, machine or other implements. The industrial wireless pressure transmitter features out-of-the-box configurations while still allowing flexibility to program-specific requirements. Powered by a Li-ion battery, the low maintenance IWPT can last for between 5-25 years in the field, depending on the update rate configuration.
“Wireless networks eliminate the installation and maintenance costs associated with wired systems for continuous asset monitoring,” said Andreas Eckert, technical development manager, Central Europe, for Sensors & E/Mech at TTI. “With 41 unique models within the IWPT range along with its software configurability, they can meet the specific application requirements across a wide variety of assets and media.”
Sensata’s wireless sensor portfolio, which includes wireless pressure and temperature sensors, gateways, receivers, and transmitters, gives it scalability and adaptability to work in a range of industrial IoT applications. Sensata will demonstrate more sensing solutions with advanced communication protocols which help connect industrial equipment in remote locations, provide real time monitoring of assets and enable digital transformation initiatives in factories.
During the exhibition, which runs from 23 - 25 November 2021, product specialists from TTI will be available to assist visitors to the Sensata Technology stand on how wireless smart sensing solutions help ease digital transformation initiatives in the factory environment.
