TTI IP&E – Europe, a distributor of electronic components, alongside its recent acquisition Raffenday, will present an extensive range of interconnect technologies and cable harnesses for low-carbon vehicles at this year’s Cenex Expo.

The event, taking place on 4-5 September at UTAC Millbrook, UK, will see TTI and Raffenday exhibiting.

Attendees visiting the stand will have the chance to explore cutting-edge electronic technologies provided by TTI’s trusted manufacturing partners, particularly for powertrain and battery charging applications. Raffenday will also showcase its expertise in producing both high and low voltage cable harnesses, specifically designed for electric and fuel cell vehicles. This collaboration offers customers a comprehensive selection of components required to develop the next generation of electric and fuel-cell vehicles.

“Exhibiting at Cenex Expo 2024 underpins TTI IP&E Europe’s strategic direction towards supporting our customers and accelerating the electrification of the transportation sector,” said Dermot Byrne, Industry Marketing Director - Transportation at TTI Europe. “With Raffenday, the TTI family of specialists have a company with capabilities to produce highly customized high-and low voltage cable assemblies needed to develop prototype vehicles with the built-in capacity to support production volumes."

Simon Blincow, General Manager and Sales Director, Raffenday, said: “With a legacy spanning 37 years in the specialised automotive and transportation sectors, Raffenday proudly joins the TTI family. We are catering to diverse industries, including specialist vehicles, industrial machinery, marine, and the evolving high-voltage and electric vehicle sectors, and our alignment with TTI signifies a seamless synergy for Raffenday’s journey ahead.”

By showcasing advanced battery and fuel cell technologies, TTI IP&E Europe and its partners are addressing key challenges faced by designers striving to drive electrification, thus contributing to a more sustainable and eco-friendly future in transportation. For instance, designers of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and charging station manufacturers will have the opportunity to learn about the Megawatt Charging System (MCS) and North American Charging Standard (NACS) inlet solutions from Amphenol Industrial. Additionally, they can explore AC outlets and AC/DC charging cable solutions from Aptiv and Phoenix Contact.

Manufacturers focusing on power distribution units and battery packs can discover the latest 1500V high-voltage (HV) connection systems from Amphenol Industrial, Aptiv, and TE Connectivity. Moreover, the latest HV contactors, fuses, and circuit protection solutions from Littelfuse and TE Connectivity, along with automotive PCB connectors for Battery Management System (BMS) applications from JAE and Molex, will also be on display.

For those involved in battery pack and fuel cell stack manufacturing, the newest sensors from Amphenol Sensor Technology Group (STG) and Honeywell will be showcased, including current, hydrogen, and thermal runaway sensors. Finally, engineers working on HV power inverters and on-board chargers can explore the latest HV thin film capacitors, power resistors, and inductors from Yageo, while Murata will introduce new power converter modules designed for similar applications.
