TMD Technologies to exhibit at DSEI 2015
TMD Technologies (TMD) will be showcasing a range of products for the defence and national security market at DSEI 2015. The products on show will include specialised transmitters, amplifiers, Microwave Power Modules (MPMs), high voltage power supplies and microwave tubes for radar, EW, communications, EMC HIRF testing, and other laboratory applications.
Employing the latest advances in 0.25µm GaN MMIC technology, the PTS6900 solid state MPM provides an outstanding performance across the 2-6GHz range. Alongside an output power of 150W and adjustable 55db gain, the device offers an instant start up, fast 1µs mute time, and over 30,000 hours predicted MTBF.
TMD’s PTXM series of MPMs, which typically weigh 1.7kg, are claimed to offer the highest power density obtainable in their class. The compact and lightweight devices operate from 4.5 to 18GHz with output powers of up to 140W, making them suitable for UAVs.
“DSEI is a key event for TMD, and something to really look forward to. It is the largest of its kind and thus allows us to connect with our global network of customers and representatives. Additionally we find more new contacts at DSEI than any other trade exhibition, and being part of the ADS UK Pavilion is a huge bonus,” said Dave Brown, Managing Director, TMD.
“We are also looking forward to Defence Secretary Michael Fallon’s keynote speech”, continued Brown. “As a hi-tech design and manufacturing SME, we have been particularly interested in his remarks, reported recently in the media, expressing his support for SMEs and the need to stay ahead of the curve in terms of the supply chain within the defence industry.”
