This includes the latest addition to their portfolio, the high-power Series 144 reed relays. Visitors can find Pickering at their booth during the event, which runs from 11-13 September at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida, New Delhi, India.
Productronica India is an event that highlights the full spectrum of electronics development and production, encompassing technologies, components, software, and services. Established in 2000, the event alternates each year between Delhi and Bengaluru, two key economic centres in India. Alongside co-located events electronica India and SEMICON India, it stands as South Asia's leading trade fair for the electronics industry. The event draws over 39,000 visitors and nearly 600 exhibitors from 24 countries, spanning an exhibition area of 35,000 square metres, offering a comprehensive overview of the rapidly advancing technologies in all areas of electronics.
“As the semiconductor and electronics ecosystem in India continues to grow and strengthen,” commented Robert King, Product Development Manager at Pickering Electronics. “And Pickering continuously improves its reed relay offering for instrumentation and ATE, we anticipate interest at productronica India from diverse sectors and applications, including semiconductor test, signal switching in medical electronics, EV charging, solar cell monitoring, and high voltage instrumentation.”
The Series 144 single-in-line (SIL) reed relays from Pickering are particularly suited for mixed-signal semiconductor testing, offering capabilities far beyond those of traditional dry SIL reed relays, which typically handle 0.5 amps at 10 Watts. The Series 144 relays can switch currents of up to 2 Amps, delivering power up to 60 Watts, or 1 Amp for up to 80 Watts, with a continuous carry current capacity of up to 3 Amps. The series also features high-voltage capabilities, with a switching voltage of 1000VDC up to 10W and a stand-off voltage of up to 3kV.
As Pickering’s smallest miniature SIL reed relay with a power rating of up to 80 Watts, the Series 144 combines the ability to switch higher power with exceptional low-level performance. It serves as an excellent alternative to mercury wetted reed relays or miniature electromechanical relays (EMRs), thanks to its outstanding low-level performance and high isolation characteristics.
Pickering’s broad range of high-performance reed relays is built using only the highest quality reed switches and is available in single-in-line (SIP), dual-in-line (DIP), through-hole, and surface-mount (SMD) packages. With various contact configurations, including 1 Form A (SPST N.O.), 2 Form A (DPST N.O.), 1 Form B (SPST N.C.), 1 Form C (SPDT changeover), 2 Form C (DPDT changeover), and 3 Form A (3PST N.O.), Pickering reed relays are ideal for a wide array of applications. These include mixed-signal semiconductor testers, in-circuit test equipment, high-end cable testers, backplane testers, electric vehicles (EVs), medical electronics, solar energy, big physics, and high voltage instrumentation.
