Pickering to exhibit high voltage SMD reed relays at Productronica
Pickering Electronics, recognised for its high performance reed relays, is set to display its latest high voltage surface mount reed relay, Series 219, at Productronica.
Visitors can find them on stand #452 in Hall A1 from 14—17 November 2023 at Messe München in Munich, Germany.
Productronica: the hub for electronics manufacturing
Held biennially in Munich, Productronica, alongside SEMICON Europa, presents an array of technologies and solutions spanning the full spectrum of the electronics development and manufacturing value chain. The trade fair is a global hub for showcasing advancements in semiconductor manufacturing, microelectronics, battery production, cleanroom technology, and logistics.
Diverse applications for Series 219
Robert King, Product Development Manager at Pickering Electronics, anticipates Productronica attendees from various sectors will show interest in their relay offerings.
He says: "As Pickering continuously improves its reed relay offering for instrumentation and ATE, we expect to see interest at Productronica from diverse sectors and applications."
The Series 219 is notably the only surface mount high voltage relay on the market available in 2 Form A and 1 Form B packages, capable of switching up to 1kV. This relay series caters to a variety of testing and monitoring needs across sectors, including semiconductor testers, medical equipment, EV charge points, and solar cell efficiency monitoring.
Innovative reed relay technologies
Pickering's showcase will also include the Series 104HT reed relays, designed to operate in environments with temperatures reaching 125°C, with some special order variants withstanding up to 150°C. The Series 104 offers high-voltage capabilities and mercury wetted versions for bounce-free switching needs.
Moreover, the 67ES/68ES SIL/SIP reed relay families will be highlighted for their compact design due to former-less coils, with the Series 67 offering the highest power switch capability in Pickering's range – up to 200W.
Enhanced electrostatic screening
Pickering has introduced electrostatic screening protection for the Series 104, 67, and 68 relays. This feature is aimed at preventing noise interference between coil drive and high-voltage circuits, complementing the internal mu-metal screen that mitigates magnetic interaction issues.
Extending the Pickering Group showcase
Alongside the reed relays, Productronica attendees can explore Pickering Interfaces' modular signal switching and simulation technologies for electronic testing and verification, as well as cables and connectors from Pickering Connect.
