Next-gen automotive technologies showcased at CES 2015

The console features curved TFT touchscreen displays, which utilise the company’s maXTouch touchscreen controllers and XSense flexible touch sensors for advanced HMI. The maXTouch and XSense touch technologies enable a radius of less than 1m, providing higher accuracy, linearity and glove touch support. The AvantCar 2.0 also features the company’s QTouch technology, which provides proximity sensing and capacitive touch buttons and sliders. Featuring the company’s RF and automotive-qualified AVR MCUs, LIN enables ambient lighting controls.

Slimmer than its predecessor, AvantCar 2.0 features Silicon Image’s Mobile HD Link solution, which allows users to easily transmit content from a smartphone, tablet, or other mobile device to larger displays such as in-dash automotive displays.
