NEXT Biometrics to demo FAP 30 solution at MOSIP
NEXT Biometrics is bringing its latest innovation to MOSIP Connect in Manila, 11-13th March.
Delegates will be able to see and interact with its FAP 30 fingerprint sensor and biometric algorithm, in addition to its widely deployed FAP 20 solution. The latest solution’s larger fingerprint sensing area delivers the performance and security required for high-end use cases, such as government national identity projects, banking and healthcare.
“Demand for FAP 30 solutions is high,” comments Marcus Lauren, CPO at NEXT Biometrics. “Governments and other entities around the world are seeking high-security biometric solutions to enable key use cases like voter registration, law enforcement, welfare programmes, healthcare, banking, immigration and more. The combination of the FAP 30 sensor’s increased area with our patented and proven Active Thermal technology brings the speed, security and convenience needed to manage these use cases at scale.”
NEXT’s Active Thermal technology uses both heat from the finger and 3D imaging to authenticate the user. This enables superior liveness detection to combat spoofing attacks, when compared with other fingerprint authentication technologies. With embedded hardware, the overall cost of the solution is reduced, and authentication can be performed at speed.
The NEXT FAP 30 product minimises sensor thickness and optimises image resolution and energy consumption, simplifying integration with devices like readers, peripherals, terminals and more. This enables the portability of identification devices and high performance in varying light and environmental conditions.
Over the last 25 years, NEXT Biometrics has shipped more than 10 million sensors. Its Active Thermal technologies are certified by entities including Aadhaar, FBI-PIV, MOSIP Compliance and NIBSS, and have been implemented in countries including Bangladesh, China, Ghana, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, US and Vietnam.
NEXT’s team will be demonstrating both the FAP 30 and FAP 20 solutions at the upcoming MOSIP Connect conference in Malila, Philippines, between 11-13th March at booth no 37. Schedule a demo through this link.
