MicroCare announce attendance at IPC Apex Expo 2024
MicroCare has announced its attendance at the upcoming IPC Apex Expo 2024. The event is slated for 9-11 April in Anaheim, CA, where MicroCare will present its latest developments at booth 1812.
The exhibition will spotlight MicroCare's comprehensive range of cleaning solutions, crafted to meet the sophisticated PCB cleaning requirements of the electronics industry. Notably featured will be MicroCare’s alternatives to 3M Novec, encompassing flux removers, contact cleaners, and electronics degreasers. These alternatives, thoroughly tested and proven, are ready for immediate global distribution. The showcase will also include the Tergo line of vapour degreasing fluids, distinguished by their ability to effectively clean and remove a variety of PCB contaminants, thanks to their high densities and low surface tensions.
In light of the impending phase-out of 3M Novec Specialty Fluids by 2025, MicroCare urges the industry to start exploring alternatives now. Ray Bellavance, Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at MicroCare, commented, "It’s wise not to wait until a global shortage arises. Begin your transition with MicroCare today. We stand ready to assist our customers with choosing the appropriate fluids, upgrading equipment, and optimising processes."
A standout product, the MicroCare Universal Flux Remover, will be prominently featured for its safe, nonflammable HFO-based composition for eliminating flux residue and solder paste. It boasts superior cleaning performance while minimising environmental impact, with both the cleaning solution and propellant being HFO (hydrofluoroolefin) azeotropes, thus supporting ozone protection and exhibiting an ultra-low Global Warming Potential.
Moreover, MicroCare will introduce the TriggerGrip PCB cleaning tool along with its newly designed adaptor, which simplifies the installation process and ensures more reliable connectivity to MicroCare flux remover aerosol cans. This system precisely targets dirty areas and minimises overspray, reducing solvent consumption by 66%.
Additionally, the event will feature the Sticklers PRO360° Touchless Cleaner, specifically designed to cater to the cleaning needs of fibre optic components increasingly present on modern PCBs. Given the delicate nature of fibre optic connectors, this tool provides a specialised cleaning solution that is distinct from traditional PCB cleaning methods. The PRO360° offers residue-free, static-free, and damage-free cleaning of fibre optic connections, enabling over 2,000 contactless cleanings per replaceable canister.
"IPC Apex Expo offers an excellent opportunity for us to directly engage with industry professionals and demonstrate how our latest products can significantly enhance their cleaning processes," Bellavance added.
