JOST components lead the way at Tip-Ex 2018

This year’s Tip-Ex exhibition in Harrogate saw a JOST stand that was offering a complete range of components and accessories for tippers and tankers. Many of the display vehicles from a large number of manufacturers were fitted with several products from the JOST World of brands, which includes JOST, ROCKINGER, TRIDEC and Edbro.

Among the latest innovations are the electric landing legs that are designed to save time during uncoupling and the fifth wheel equipped with sensors to advise the driver when the king pin is locked in position. Throughout the show, many vehicles were equipped with products from the JOST stable with customers and manufacturers specifying the products as standard fitment.

Danny Broomfield, JOST UK Sales Director commented: “Products such as the electric landing legs, and the Modul E-Drive , have been created with the future in mind. As designers start to develop the necessary technology for autonomous vehicles, component suppliers also need to contribute and the more recent innovations from JOST will certainly help.”

A large number of vehicles were fitted with Edbro tipping cylinders, which have become an industry standard with the ‘fit-and-forget’ promise. In many cases these were complemented by JOST axle systems which have introduced disc braking to the commercial sector in the UK.

Broomfield concluded: “This year’s show has been a great success for everyone involved. It offers us a great opportunity to exhibit some of the high quality brands that are recognised market leaders and that together offer a one-stop-shop for vehicle manufacturers.”
This year’s event was well-attended with many visitors choosing to take break at the famous Edbro barbecue and to catch up on the latest industry news.
