IOT Solutions World Congress closes an edition marked by efficient and sustainable Industry 5.0
The IOT Solutions World Congress (IOTSWC), one of the leading international events focused on the transformation of industry through disruptive technologies, has closed the doors of its seventh edition after three days of great activity at the Gran Via venue.
With over 330 exhibitors, 172 conferences and sessions, and more than 250 experts, the show strengthened its position as one of the leading platforms for the digital transformation of all industrial sectors.
echaOrganised by Fira de Barcelona and the Industry IOT Consortium (IIC), IOTSWC 2023 welcomed more than 15,500 visitors, 30% more than at the last edition, who were able to see how the latest innovations developed through disruptive technologies such as the Internet of Things, Digital Twins, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented and Virtual Reality and 5G connectivity will reshape the industrial landscape in the near future.
Leading companies such as ABB, Amazon Web Services, Device Authority, Entrust, Emnify, Faircom, KNX, STMicroelectronics, Nozomi Networks, Relayr, Sternum, Deutsche Telekom and TxOne, among others, and speakers including Séan O'Reagain, Deputy Head of the Industry 5.0 Unit of the European Commission; Jessica Poliner, Executive Director of Relayr; and Michael Grieves, Executive Director and Chief Scientist of the Digital Twin Institute, considered the father of the Digital Twins, contributed to making this IOTSWC one of the best editions ever.
The Director of IOTSWC, Roger Bou, pointed out that: "In 2023, IOTSWC registered an outstanding participation of professionals and high-level executives who have been able to discover the solutions and technologies that the exhibiting companies have showcased to contribute to the digitisation of the industry".
Along these lines, the President of the IIC, Bill Hoffman, said: "The attendance and exciting new products presented have made the 2023 edition one of the best in the event’s history".
Cybersecurity, a critical factor
The fourth edition of the Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress, organised by Fira de Barcelona and the Agència de Ciberseguretat de Catalunya, highlighted the importance of cybersecurity as one of the most critical challenges facing an increasingly digitalised world.
The BCC featured companies such as Cloudflare, Fortinet, Knowbe4, ManageEngine, S21sec, SentinelOne and Telefónica Tech. In addition, the event organised a Hacking Village with workshops and activities, including various ethical hacking competitions.
The next edition of the IOT Solutions World Congress and Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress will take place from 21 to 23 May 2023 at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue.
