The 2024 International Conference on Radar is hosted by the French SEE Society (Société de l’Electricité, de l’Electronique et des Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication) and supported by IEEE AESS (the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society). Held every five years the conference is in located Rennes, home to many public and private research laboratories working in technology areas such as radar, propagation, antenna design, and communications. Rennes is also close to several major naval facilities, such as Saint Nazaire, Lorient, and Brest. The biggest French MoD expertise centre, DGA-MI, is also located in the vicinity of Rennes.

The International Conference on Radar provides opportunities for information exchange, presentations, and interactions among the Radar scientific and industrial communities. The 2024 event has the theme of, ‘Sensing for a Safer World’ which encompasses monitoring of the environment using to surveillance systems, safety, and security in all application domains such as aircraft, maritime, cars, and more.
