Innovation continues at CWIEME Berlin 2024
CWIEME Berlin, one of the leading events for coil winding, transformer, electric motor, generator, and e-mobility supply chains, commenced on 14th May 2024 at Messe Berlin.
Now in its second day, the event has attracted a multitude of professionals who, underneath the Berlin sunshine, came together to network, share knowledge, and establish new relationships with exhibitors and visitors alike.
The second day started with the Women in Engineering networking session, followed by a panel discussion on how industry can foster and encourage more diversity in the workplace, exploring how this can help companies gain a competitive advantage.
Women in Engineering is one of CWIEME Berlin’s key themes for 2024, as the challenges faced by women in this profession are multifaceted – ranging from gender bias and underrepresentation to work-life balance conflicts and societal norms.
Other sessions throughout the day included speakers from S&P Global Mobility, CENELEC, The International Copper Association, Samyang Chemical Group, Bosch, Nide, Voestalpine, and The Rare Earth Industry Association. The panel discussions were notably well-attended, with professionals coming together to discuss key topics such as emerging trends in new motor technologies and challenges and opportunities for the e-mobility sector.
The country pavilions, with exhibitors from India, Czech Republic, and Latvia, proved popular on day two. The Czech Republic pavilion was well attended, in keeping with the industry’s growing prominence – electrical engineering is the second biggest industry in the country, with over 150,000 companies within the space.
“CWIEME Berlin is a very focussed B2B exhibition,” said Adam Jares, Director of CzechTrade Germany, one of this year’s exhibitors. “There’s been a lot of visitors from the Czech Republic, making CWIEME a great platform for us to meet our customers, find new potential clients, and form longstanding partnerships over a beer.”
Day three – the final day of the 2024 event – was just as hotly anticipated as the first two days, with discussions focusing on inspiring the next generation of professionals within the coil winding, transformer, electric motor, generator, and e-mobility industries.
