Amada Miyachi Europe announces that it will highlight resistance welding solutions suitable for coil winding, electric motor, and transformer manufacturing technologies at CWIEME Berlin 2016, to be held 10-12th May, 2016 at Messe Berlin, Germany. On display at stand 41E29 will be semi-automated hot crimping systems designed to join magnet wire to cable shoes or terminals.

Also featured is the NOVA3 Resistance Welding Workstation, perfectly suited for coil wire welding and the resistance welding of other electronic parts for automotive industries. The MIYACHI EAPRO NOVA3 Resistance Welding System on display is perfectly suited for coil wire welding of spools and other electronic parts.

The NOVA3’s stable platform enables continuous production and is customisable to specific production requirements. It offers a variety of door configurations, including manual, pneumatic and motorised. Servo-motor driven axes include XY, with optional Z and turn axis. Integrated process monitoring is available with the AWS3 digital operating panel. All MIYACHI, MIYACHI PECO and MIYACHI UNITEK power supplies and weld heads fit the NOVA3 configuration, making it an extremely flexible choice.

The semi-automated hot crimping systems combine Miyachi PECO welding equipment and a Miyachi EAPRO balancer, enabling the joining equipment to be manipulated by an operator working on large products. A high-force weld head mechanically holds the electrodes and feeds the electrical current to the electrodes. Cooling water is applied to actively cool all components to prevent over-heating during production. The biggest advantage of this hot crimping system is its high performance, resulting in very short process times. The hot crimping equipment features a unique 'weld to displacement' functionality that allows operators to programme the equipment to reach a certain compression, upon which the current flow and heating will be switched off. This compensates for part-to-part variation and lets users programme a parameter that is closely related to joint quality.
