High channel count microwave MUX modules
Pickering Interfaces will showcase its range of RF and microwave switching solutions at booth 404 during the International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 2024.
The event will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Centre in Washington, DC, USA, from June 18-20, 2024.
Pickering's display will include SPDT, transfer, MUX, and matrix switches with bandwidths from DC to 110GHz, available in PXI, LXI, and USB formats. Additionally, it will introduce its new family of high channel count PXI/PXIe microwave multiplexer (MUX) modules.
IMS, part of IEEE Microwave Week, is the annual international meeting for engineers engaged in all aspects of RF and microwave engineering theory and practice. The symposium features a week of events, including technical paper presentations, workshops, and tutorials, as well as the largest RF and microwave commercial exhibition in the world. Over 500 companies will showcase the latest in advanced materials, devices, components, subsystems, and design, simulation, and test and measurement tools.
Pickering's new high channel count microwave MUX family (models 40/42-788) features Radiall mechanical microwave switches, offering bandwidth options from 8 to 40GHz. The switching configurations include single or dual SP8T, SP10T, or SP12T multiplexers. In addition to microwave switching applications, these modules are ideal for various RF spectrum uses where extremely low insertion loss and ultra-high isolation are essential.
“These modules give you the highest RF and microwave switching performance available within a Pickering switching system,” noted Switching Product Manager at Pickering, Steve Edwards. “As well as the highest channel count microwave multiplexer switches available from any PXI vendor. This can result in fewer switches and associated interconnections being required for high channel count microwave switching applications, improving signal quality and ease of programming.”
