European Microwave Week celebrates its 25th anniversary
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, European Microwave Week 2022 takes place in Milan from the 25th to the 30th of September 2022.
Bringing industry and academia together, European Microwave Week 2022 is a six-day event, including three conferences, three forums and one trade and technology exhibition featuring leading players from across the globe.
EuMW 2022 provides access to the very latest products, research, and initiatives in the microwave sector. It also offers the opportunity for face-to-face interaction with those driving the future of microwave technology.
The 25th European Microwave Week combines:
- Three major conferences
- Three forums
- Associated workshops
- Tailored courses and seminars for industrialists, academics, and researchers
- Leading international trade show
Conferences
Choose from three separate but complementary conferences. Spanning the length of the week, starting from 25th September 2022, the conferences and workshops are scheduled as follows:
- European Microwave Integrated Circuits Conference (EuMIC) 26-27 September 2022
- European Microwave Conference (EuMC) 27-29 September 2022
- European Radar Conference (EuRAD) 28-30 September 2022
Plus, there will be workshops and short courses (from 25 September 2022).
In addition, EuMW 2021 will include the Defence, Security and Space Forum, the Automotive Forum and the Beyond 5G Forum.
There will be an invited keynote talk in the first slot of each technical session. The keynote speakers have been selected from both industry and academia and they will deliver introductory and review presentations, which will enrich the technical programme of the conference.
The conferences encompass a wide range of subject areas including:
- Microwave, millimetre-wave, and submillimetre-wave systems
- Antennas and propagation
- Wireless technologies
- Telecommunication (RF, microwave and optical)
- ICs, semiconductor materials and packaging
- Radar architectures, systems, and subsystems
- Sensors and remote systems
- Test and measurement
A number of activities for students and young professionals are also planned during the week. In particular, two Doctoral Schools, one on ‘Build a Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave Radar in 1-day’ and the other devoted to ‘Microwaves for emerging medical technologies’, a Three Minutes Thesis (3MT) competition, an IEEE Young Professional session (in collaboration with the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society), the Career Platform, several conference prizes, a number of travel grants, a student helpers programme, and an ad-hoc networking event.
The Women in Microwave event, co-sponsored by the IEEE MTT-S, will be held in Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, and includes a technical session followed by a visit to the museum.
Exhibition
The European Microwave Exhibition is the largest trade show dedicated to Microwaves and RF in Europe.
There will be in excess of 300 international exhibitors (including Asia and US as well as Europe), with around 4,000 key visitors from around the globe and 1,500-1,700 conference delegates.
The exhibition will offer exhibitors an opportunity to present products, technological developments, and form relationships with relevant and interested spectators including academics, professionals, and industry figureheads. It also offers a forum for discussing trends and exchanging scientific and technical information.
