eMobility Expo World Congress records 5,794 professionals for first edition

Along with industry professionals, 344 world experts participated in the congress and 179 international companies, such as Ford, Toyota, Iberdrola, Cepsa, Balearia, Air Nostrum, Power Electronics, BP, and Ficosa, among others, presented their latest innovations in sustainable mobility during the event.

“The numbers are clear, the mobility industry is heavily involved in looking for models and strategies to become more sustainable and accelerate its transformation,” said Sandra Infante, Director of eMobility Expo World Congress 2023. “We have created a meeting point between the public and private sector to foster dialogue around a crucial issue for the industry and society, sustainable mobility. We have been very ambitious and it has been worth it for the reception of this first edition and the response and support of the industry and the administrations”, she concluded.

An international forum that analysed the main axes of the transformation that the mobility industry is undergoing. Among them, the research into batteries and energy storage systems, which marked the agenda of the Valencia Battery Convention 2023.

eMobility Expo World Congress has turned Valencia into the world capital of mobility, confirming its position as the hub of sustainable mobility in southern Europe and generating an economic impact of €14mn for the city.

Three days to promote social dialogue on sustainable mobility

With a holistic view of the challenges facing the industry, eMobility Expo World Congress responded to the challenges of mobility in 9 vertical forums, including the Governments & Manufacturers Summit, where the details of the second edition of the PERTE electric vehicle focused on battery development were announced.

The first edition of eMobility Expo has also counted with the participation of leaders of companies that are promoting research and innovation for sustainable mobility. This is the case of Fernando Gómez-Carpintero, CEO of Airbus Crisa, who presented the ARTEMIS project, led by NASA and with the participation of Airbus to take the man to Mars. During his speech, Gómez-Carpintero pointed out that “we are experiencing a revolution in the space sector" and stressed that "projects as attractive and challenging as ARTEMIS take innovation to another level, and the innovations achieved end up having repercussions on Earth”. The congress also analysed new mobility models such as eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle) technology for the transport of goods.

The main brands in the automotive sector have made global presentations at eMobility Expo, such as Ford, which has launched its latest 100% electric crossover, and Toyota, which has been showing its most representative and innovative vehicles. They have been joined by companies such as Amazon, which has delved into innovations in mobility solutions as a service.

Venue for 2024 to be announced shortly

In the coming weeks, the organisers will be meeting with the main companies, administrations and business groups to analyse the success of this first edition and to announce which city will host the eMobility Expo World Congress in the coming years.

The first edition of eMobility Expo World Congress, which was supported by the Generalitat Valenciana and the Valencia City Council, has closed making it clear that industry and public administration are acting to move towards more sustainable mobility.
