electronica India 2015 and productronica India 2015, the leading trade fairs for electronic components and manufacturing, will take place from 9th to 11th September 2015. The events are appreciated by the stakeholders as it takes a 360° view of the electronics industry as a whole, all under one roof. Two months before the trade fairs will open their gates, the exhibition space of electronica India is sold out and over 80% for productronica India 2015 has already been booked, with a growing waiting list of exhibitors. International key players and innovative companies from different continents will take part at electronica India and productronica India.
The ecosystem around the electronic components and electronic manufacturing companies has reached a marked improvement by the general economic recovery and the financial and economic crises. All sectors of this industry are now heading for growth.
With the Government of India’s flagship programme ‘Make in India’ and initiatives like ‘Smart Cities’ and ‘Digital India’, the industry expects to reduce its dependency on electronic import by 50% from 2016 to 2017. As per the Task Force Report by Government of India, the gross size of the electronic industry is approximately $1.9tn and expected to reach $2.9tn by 2020. The total production of electronic hardware goods in India is forecast to reach $104bn by 2020, out of which communication and broadcasting equipment constitutes 31%. The electronic industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world and in India. The numbers are impressive and act as a motivation for investment in this sector. The trade fairs will feature knowledge sharing sessions to meet the needs of the growing Indian electronics industry. The sessions will be led by industry leaders who will add value by sharing their knowledge. In addition to these sessions, the second edition of an exclusive pavilion on strategic electronics for defence and aerospace, DEFTRONICS, jointly organised by Indian Electronics & Semiconductor Association and MMI India, will be powered by key industry people
