dSPACE highlights automotive radar test at EuMW 2024
dSPACE is showcasing a wide range of automotive radar test products at European Microwave Week in Paris covering a complete range of radar and Over-the-air solutions.
The latest product innovations include:
Radar Test Bench 2D which delivers radar component tests and simple function validation. It can be used for tests of field of view (FOV), radiated power, separability in range and doppler, and simple ADAS/AD scenarios as well as target simulation with one azimuth and elevation angle.
Radar Test Bench 3D enables function testing of radar-based advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving. It can be used for scenario-based ADAS/AD tests, from NCAP to complex traffic scenarios and multitarget simulation with up to five independent azimuth angles.
Vehicle-in-the-loop simulation on the test bench will be demonstrated. dSPACE solutions for VIL tests offer the possibility of synchronised stimulation of all sensors. Cameras are stimulated over-the-air (OTA) by presenting them with an image of a simulated environment. Radar and ultrasonic sensors are addressed via suitable echoes that simulate objects in the detection range of the sensors.
dSPACE automotive radar test systems (DARTS) enable over-the-air simulation of radar echoes in real time. The majority of dSPACE’s DARTS have the ability to test micro-Doppler detection in the 60 GHz band.
End-of-Line testing delivers automated testing and calibration of mass-produced radar sensors for use in vehicles. The precise test system contributes to the high level of safety of radar-based driver assistance systems.
