Debut of radar antenna solution at European Microwave Week 2017
HUBER+SUHNER will unveil its new injection molded 3D structure radar antenna at European Microwave Week (EUMW) 2017, taking place in Nuremburg, October 8-13. Superior to standard PCB antennas, the new solution will have a higher bandwidth of up to 15% compared to PCB technology. It provides beam forming and beam steering over the whole bandwidth, with less losses and more gain in the feeding network, providing the crucial reliability and long life that is needed in the automotive sector.
“When expanding wireless networks and improving receiving stations, you have to ensure quality performance, stability and reliability,” said Alexander Post, Market Manager RF Automotive at HUBER+SUHNER. “Our new technology is almost lossless, making a real difference by providing the critically strong signal strength that higher loss PCB antennas cannot offer.”
In addition to automotive solutions at its booth (#118), HUBER+SUHNER will demonstrate its expertise in Test & Measurement, showcasing the newly launched SUCOFLEX 526V and 526S assemblies.
Not only are these assemblies extremely flexible and easy to use, thanks to their unique design, they also deliver best-in-class phase and amplitude stability with flexure, movement, temperature and tensile stress.
HUBER+SUHNER RF-energy experts will also be on hand to discuss the company’s latest RF-technology and how using solid-state generated and amplified RF-power brings a completely new user experience to applications such as cooking and mass production processes.
“Connectors and cables used in the communications industry are often not the perfect solution for RF-energy appliances,” said Hannes Grubinger, Market Manager at HUBER+SUHNER. “To gain key features such as mechanical freedom and low losses, a launcher structure is very useful and cost effective, especially when implemented with injection molded metalised parts and alternative structures.”
HUBER+SUHNER has more than 25 years’ experience in designing and manufacturing state-of-the-art microwave components that offer outstanding electrical and mechanical performance.
With numerous successful projects worldwide and a broad portfolio of safe, high-quality connectivity solutions in radio frequency (RF), fibre optic, and low and high voltage technology, HUBER+SUHNER is well placed to demonstrate its extensive expertise at EUMW 2017.
Visitors of the European Microwave Week can discover more about the HUBER+SUHNER range of high-quality connectivity solutions at Booth 118, Nurnburg Convention Centre, Nuremburg, Germany, October 8-13.
