Electronics Manufacutirng Services providers, AWS Electronics Group has achieved NADCAP certification at its Newcastle-under-Lyme, UK, facility, for the sixth year in a row.

The National Aerospace and Defence Contractors Accreditation Programme (NADCAP) is a key certification that demonstrates an ‘industry-managed approach’ to special processes and products within the aerospace and defence sectors. The continued achievement of this unprecedented accreditation demonstrates AWS’ commitment to a cooperative industry effort in improving the quality assurance within these sectors.

The NADCAP accreditation is a key pull-factor to the UK site and has resulted in a wide and growing military and aerospace customer base for the AWS group. With a vast array of capabilities at both its UK facility and its mirror-image plant in Slovakia, including high-complexity box build and PCBAs, AWS are able to provide these sectors with an exceptional service that covers the entire electronic product lifecycle. Further, AWS’ customer-focused approach has been crucial in the development of strong and lasting customer relationships.

Paul Deehan, CEO commented: “The past ten years has seen the AWS group establish significant customer relationships with both global ODM defence and aerospace companies and also a number of unique mid-sized owner-managed companies in these sectors, with many specialising in unique inventions and IPR technologies.”

AWS’ extensive EMS experience also extends to sectors beyond the defence and aerospace industries. With accreditations in medical (ISO 13485), automotive (ISO TS 16949), environmental (ISO 14001) and more, AWS are able to support customers in a large number of industries that have EMS requirements.
