An Internet of Things seminar is being staged by Arrow Electronics and Advantech. It is aimed at original equipment manufacturers and provide practical advice on how to take advantage of this new wave of connectivity. In addition to presentations from the hosts, there will be sessions by some of the leading IoT hardware and software vendors including Intel, Wind River and ICT Automatisering.

The event takes place in Eindhoven, The Netherlands on October 15.

Planned to be innovative and topical, the seminar will cover the opportunities presented by IoT and the existing technical solutions that will enable OEMs to accelerate their move into, or growth in, this market. There will be a separate session devoted specifically to security in the cloud, a critical aspect in the delivery of any IoT solution.

Attendees will have the opportunity to view live product demonstrations featuring IoT building blocks and discuss technology challenges with presenters.

Amir Mobayen, VP and general manager for Arrow’s OEM computing solutions business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: “There has been much discussion about the market potential of the Internet of Things. The truth is that many OEMs are seeking practical advice on how to move their existing successful products into the IoT era and develop the next generation of products that will take full advantage of the opportunities that IoT presents. With this seminar, Arrow and Advantech have assembled some of the leading authorities on IoT who can share their experience and guidance with those who attend.”
