Analog Devices at SPS 2024
At SPS 2024, Analog Devices visits Nuremberg to meet with industry leaders and drive innovation. Visit ADI’s booth to find out how the company works hand in hand with their customers to enable digital transformation and empower intelligent automation for a more sustainable future.
To realise ambitious efficiency, productivity, and sustainability goals, the industrial sector must look to application-level solutions to capture, and act on, operational data. ADI’s technologies bridge the physical and digital worlds with sensing, connectivity, power, and processing solutions, enabling our customers to transform data into actionable insights. Visitors to the booth will explore six feature-rich demos, highlighting the company’s ability to deliver system-level solutions which enable its customers to differentiate in the market.
Attendees are invited to join ADI at Hall 5, Booth 110.
Among the highlight demos are:
- Protect the Intelligent Edge with cyber security solutions: cyber security in industrial automated control systems (IACS) is a strategic imperative to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical infrastructure and industrial processes. This demo showcases how ADI hardware-based secure authentication products protect a water treatment facility from potential cyberattacks to ensure the operational continuity, data integrity, and safety of personnel.
- The industrial network of the future: to fully enable the modern digital factory and realise the productivity gains offered by data and AI, the convergence between the IT and the OT networks must be both seamless and secure. This platform demonstration shows how ADI is empowering factory and process automation systems to leverage the vast quantities of generated data, bridging data to insights for efficiencies at scale. Gather key measurement data and new insights from all corners of the modern factory with ADI’s Time Sensitive Networking (TSN), single pair Ethernet, software configurable I/O, IO-Link and cyber security technologies.
- Interactive industrial automation experience: virtually tour the digital factory of the future and the wider ecosystem of smart energy and city infrastructure. Explore how factory configurations are changing with an emerging dependence on edge intelligence and secure Edge to Cloud connectivity in today’s industrial environment. Discover ADI solutions enabling this evolution, including smart connected sensors, adaptive process automation, agile industrial robotics, modular motion control, and real-time asset health monitoring.
- Agile manufacturing with industrial robotics: discover how ADI is addressing three key pillars of robotics – motion control, precision position sensing, and perception sensing. Get hands-on with an interactive robotic demo where you are challenged to control the robot and select a prize from a moving conveyor belt. Experience how the world’s first single chip absolute multiturn and angle position sensor tracks rotation even when power is lost.
- Increase productivity with modular mobile robotics: see how an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) is deployed for optimal control and guidance, while identifying and avoiding obstacles, creating safer working environments through improved sensing. This ADAM (Analog Devices Autonomous Mobot) demo showcases a complete AMR solution including high accuracy depth sensing, motor control of four independent wheel drives, intelligent AI processing and mapping, optimised wired and wireless communications, and battery management. The mobile robot design comes complete with supporting ROS software drivers enabling quicker time to market.
- Motion control solutions for autonomous manufacturing: to achieve the goal of more sustainable manufacturing, there is a trend towards software defined automation built on a foundation of efficient motion control. This demo showcases a complete automation solution highlighting the impact of digitalisation in manufacturing to achieve more autonomous manufacturing. Discover ADI motor control solutions for a range of motor types, including stepper, BLDC, solenoid, and high voltage induction motors. Also on show is an Edge-AI based condition monitoring solution crucial for preventing unplanned downtime.
