AMD at embedded world
AMD will kick off the upcoming embedded world 2024 conference in Nuremberg, Germany, 9–11 April 2024, with the opening keynote address on unlocking the potential of AI at the Edge.
Additionally, AMD will launch next-generation products and demonstrate its latest solutions for embedded and industrial markets.
Keynote:
- Salil Raje, SVP and GM, Adaptive and Embedded Computing Group at AMD will deliver a keynote presentation titled: ‘AI on the Edge: Unlocking the Potential of AI Applications’, on 9th April at 10:10am in Tokio Room.
Briefings and demos:
- AMD subject matter experts will be available in the AMD booth (Stand #5-111, Hall 5) to discuss the latest AMD products and industry-specific opportunities.

- Manuel Uhm, Director, and Rob Bauer, Senior Manager, Product Marketing to discuss AMD’s next generation of adaptive computing products targeting AI Edge applications.

The following product and partner demonstrations will be available at the stand.
- Single-chip intelligence: the demo will showcase a Versal adaptive SoC delivering a single-chip solution for end-to-end AI acceleration.
- Inference at the Edge: the demo will feature AMD AI Engines for high-performance inferencing at the edge and will show inventory tracking of fruit using accelerated machine learning inference.
- Embedded+ for machine vision: the demo will showcase a factory automation camera connected to a compact Embedded+ Platform via ethernet, image manipulation offloaded to Versal AI Edge, and displayed via Ryzen Embedded Radeon graphics.
- Distributed robotic control system: the demo will showcase distributed motor control and digital twin visualisation of an autonomous mobile robot on the factory floor in real-time.
- RISC-V with AMD MicroBlaze: the demo will showcase the new AMD MicroBlaze V RISC-V Soft Processor controlling a simulated cooling system.
- Automated parking: the demo will simulate an automated parking scenario using Cognata’s SimCloud, Xylon’s LogiRecorder, and AMD Kria Automotive Carrier and K26 SOM.
