Advanced Energy highlights power technologies
Advanced Energy, a global specialist in highly engineered, precision power conversion, measurement and control solutions, will be exhibiting its latest power delivery and temperature measurement and control technologies at the glasstec international trade fair in Düsseldorf, 22–25 October 2024.
glasstec brings together 30,000 business and technology leaders, executives, researchers, and industry analysts from across the glass manufacturing and coating supply chain from 119 countries.
Visitors to the Advanced Energy booth (Hall 15, booth E35) will have the opportunity to see the company’s latest DC, pulsed DC, and bipolar pulsed DC plasma power solutions, as well as products for high-accuracy, high-precision temperature measurement and control. The plasma power supplies ensure stable, reliable, precise power to increase uptime, deposition rates, and film quality. Measurement and control technologies are critical for efficient and cost-effective melting, glass viscosity control, heat zone adjustment, annealing and stress reduction.
“Advances in glass production and coating, including new coating materials and layer stacks, require highly developed plasma power delivery controls and precise temperature measurement and control,” said Juergen Braun, Advanced Energy’s Senior Vice President, Plasma Power. “At glasstec, Advanced Energy will showcase how our decades of glass application experience and research, combined with world class field application engineering, provides the technologies and support needed to address increasingly demanding production requirements while optimising quality and yield.”
Among the plasma products on display at the Advanced Energy booth will be the Ascent AMS II intelligent, fully water-cooled DC power supply and the Ascent DMS pulsed DC power system. Temperature measurement and control technologies include pyrometers, thermal imagers, and SCR power controllers, such as Thyro-PX. The company will also demonstrate how embedded PowerInsight by Advanced Energy software provides actionable intelligence that can be applied to optimise processes for improved throughput and yield, as well as reduce unplanned equipment downtime.
